Growing up my parents had this poem hanging in their bedroom on a plaque and I would read it every time I walked by it (I'm OCD like that :). Oh those little hands that get into so much trouble sometimes. Today it was throwing dirt at the windows...tomorrow, who knows. But, I do know that so much good can be done with those little hands and I surely want to encourage that. And no matter how big those hands get, I pray I get to hold them from time to time, too.
Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On windows and the walls
But every day I'm growing --
I'll be grown up some day
And all those tiny fingerprints
Will surely fade away
So here's a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small

Beautiful... I have read this before - but it just made me cry.
I have read that quote before, I love it! Did you take that picture? Gorgeous! Thanks for linking up girlie! Hope you are doing well. xoxo
I remember that poem. Today at MY house, those little hands were smearing dirt all over that little face... lol
oh my heart just broke! It's so good to hear/read reminders like that though. Because as mamas...life can get so stressful that we just want the day to end and start a new one. But we need to remember to cherish those moments because they'll be gone before we know it. Thanks so much for posting this. I'm a new follower!
Such a good reminder to enjoy them when they are little. I know these days will speed by quickly.
That tugs at my heart strings. Beautiful.
We put that on the back of plaster handprints in kindergarten as a mother's day gift...it always made at least a few moms tear up! Love the photo...very nicely done!
All my little hands are grown and gone. What a lovely memory for you now and in the future. It is true that time passes so quickly. Enjoy!!
