...28, 29, 30

Last Wednesday I.turned.30!!!  I know, I know...it's just a number, but I was dreading it just a bit.  My amazing family and friends took care of that and made my birthday very special!  (I will might share some pictures with you when I get my hands on them.  I didn't take any, but my dear friend Sarah did.)  So, Because my birthday fell in the middle of the week, we just did something small.  And then on Saturday I was surprised by a day of shopping with the girls and then a fun, fun, fun dinner out with our husbands.  Said dinner may or may not have involved me doing the hula with the whole restaurant watching...!  Um, yeah!!  But, I really had a great time and I am so very grateful for all the amazing people that God has put in my life.  Seriously, they are beyond words!!!

I went into Saturday not knowing anything...the whole day was a surprise :)  My mom, sister, and some of my favorite girls gave me spending money and told me I had to spend it and that it was ok because it wasn't my money I was using...they all know about my sewing challenge, hehe!  We went to Goodwill where I found some leather (and I can't wait to make something with it...), a skirt to repurpose and a really cute hoodie that was only $4.99!  So, yes, that was a special thing because I haven't been shopping for clothes since I started my sewing challenge in June.  But, I figured for my birthday I would bend the rules just.this.once and plus the girls insisted!! :)  And technically, I really didn't stray that far from my rules.  After Goodwill we, of course, went to the fabric store.  I don't know if everyone else had that much fun, but I did ;)  I got some fun new patterns and some lovely fabric and I really can't wait to get sewing...

Oh, and I found out 30 really isn't that bad after all!!!  I think I'm going to like love it...

P.S. Adorable $18.00 patterns for $1.00, can you believe it!?
