Stolen Moments

These days when I go back and look at my pictures after taking them I see all my mistakes!!  I mean, now that I'm learning about photography I can't help but critique my skills...or lack thereof ;)  I'm learning and I can already tell the difference and that's good enough for me.  But sometimes, I.just.shoot...

Do I see "issues" with these?  Um, yeah.  But I wouldn't change anything about what I captured!

That is how you get the best stuff. Just shoot. Keep learning the technical stuff, but never lose sight of the moment right in front of you. These are wonderful.

Great capture! I love the lighting too, so subtle and manly.

There are times when it's the moment that count the most. Nice shots.

Great perspective. I've found myself striving for perfection the more I learn and forgetting to just capture the moment and the memory. It is great to be reminded of the that. Last week when my Little Man had his first hair cut, I set the camera settings and handed it over to my 11 year old daughter to snap away and capture the moment. Although the photos were more of a snap shot quality, the moment will be treasured forever.

I agree - I do the same - but I never delete anything with my kids!! I would weep in a couple of years for sure

And that's the way it should be :) You don't want to miss a "moment" and you didn't here. Great job!
