I don't know what my deal is lately...I have been thinking a lot about the direction of my blog and as I've been thinking, I haven't been writing!! I'm just trying to keep my priorities straight and my guys need to come first! I really just want to remember that ultimately this "space" is for me...and a place where I want to record the happenings of my precious little family and the journey we are on!
Anyyywayyyy.... On a much lighter note, I "won" a giftcard to
ModCloth for Fall Fashion Week and I can't decide what to get!! But, the big question is whether or not I should be able to buy something because I
won this giftcard.... You see, I never specified in my
rules for my sewing challenge the possibility of winning something. (Although I'm not really sure anyone is really following along with my challenge besides me...!) For the record I still haven't bought any clothes with the exception of a pair of lightweight jeans (capris) this summer and a pair of trouser jeans on my B-day shopping trip. (And jeans are "allowed"!) So, let me know what you think :) and in the mean time, I'm going to show you some of my ModCloth favs that are within or near my giftcard amount:

That is just a sampling of the things that I'm drooling over and it doesn't include the ones that are way out of my budget or the fab accessories and tights that I am also drooling over!! So I'm curious what you would pick?? And if you think I should "bend" my sewing challenge rules...?
Speaking of 525,600 Stitches, I'm hoping to post my newest creation on Friday! It's been a doozy!!

If you won the giftcard I think you're definitely allowed to spend it on yourself. You're still not paying money for anything! :)

I think that you could get the adorable coat and still be upholding the integrity of what you're trying to achieve. Buying a coat is sort of like allowing yourself to buy jeans...it's something you need, but can't make very easily. It's going to start getting cold, and a coat just a necessity. You know I would say get anything you want, but I know you want to stick as closely to "the rules" as you can, so I think the coat would be a perfect way to do that. And of course, if you can't buy something for yourself with the gift card, I happen to love the coat as well, and my birthday's in a few months... :)
I think that considering you won the card, you deserve it. Spoil yourself!
