but not just to fly, son, I want you to soar
The other day I was in my own world putting laundry away and these words came to my mind suddenly. It took me a while to remember where I had heard them and then I remembered that it was from a Veggie Tales movie that I have watched with my boys a few times. The Lord was speaking to me....
How often {I} forget that He doesn't want us to just "be" here in this life...He wants us to live with purpose. His purpose!! When life gets crazy (as it often seems to) I sometimes forget to just spread my wings and soar. Really, the choice is ours...are we going to fly or SOAR! Remember today that He has a plan and a purpose for you. And His timing is absolutely, positively PERFECT. We can take each day and make it the best day possible knowing that our Faithful King is in control.
There is a heavy burden in being a parent. In knowing that our decisions and ways will affect our children (at least for me there is!) It is a huge responsibility to be the one (along with my dear husband, of course) that shows my boys what it means to live for the Lord. To know that they will most likely model the characteristics of us, their parents....
I think I'm going to paint it on the wall in their bedroom...as a reminder for them. And for me!

Oh I LOVE that you are going to paint that in their room! I think that's from "A snoodle's Tale", lol, I have that one. Great post.
